VTCT LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE IN THAI MASSAGE

Course introduction: This is VTCT's only qualification in Thai massage therapy at Level 3 qualifies learners to practice as a Thai massage therapist. This qualification allows learners to gather evidence in a realistic working environment or real working environment without the need for fee-paying clients. This qualification has been specifically designed for everyone and will develop the knowledge skills to prepare learners for employment as a Thai massage therapist. Learners will have their massage therapy skills assessed in a real or realistic working environment. This qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as a Thai massage therapist including providing Thai massage, health and safety, client care and communication, and anatomy and physiology, - the full list of units is presented in the learners' Record of Assessment book (ROA) (specification).

Course introduction: The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a beauty (Swedish massage) therapist. Throughout this qualification, you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care. You will develop a range of technical skills enabling you to provide relaxing massage treatments using classical Swedish massage movements. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.

Course introduction: The primary outcome of the VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Stone Therapy Massage is to prepare you to enter the specific sector of beauty therapy as a stone therapy massage specialist. All the units in this qualification relate directly to the specific job role of a stone therapy massage specialist. This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a stone therapy massage specialist including, three mandatory units covering the following: applying stone massage therapy, health and safety and client care.

This qualification will develop your knowledge and understanding of the organisation of the body, and the structure, function and pathologies of the skin, hair and nails. You will also learn about the structure, function and pathologies of the human body systems including, the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, urinary and reproductive system.

Course introduction: The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Indian Head Massage is a vocationally related qualification that will prepare you to provide Indian head massage treatments to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to provide your own services for clients. The four mandatory units include the practical and theoretical knowledge required to provide Indian head services and monitoring and maintaining health and safety practices in the salon, to ensure all treatments are carried out with health and safety as a priority. The two remaining mandatory units provide the wider skills required to be a successful therapist of client care and communication in beauty-related industries and promote and sell product s and services. Both of these units address the need for a successful therapist to understand the importance of retail and client care.

Course introduction: The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Massage using Pre-Blended Aromatherapy Oils is a specialist vocational qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in; how to provide massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils with a range of clients and conditions. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of how to monitor and maintain health and safety practices in a salon environment and how to promote client care and communications in beauty related industries. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services.

Course introduction: The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy is a technical level qualification aimed at developing the knowledge, understanding and technical skills needed for a career as a Sports Massage Therapist, either employed or self employed. The content of this qualification is comprised of all the required elements needed to work effectively and efficiently as a sports massage therapist. This includes anatomy and physiology, professional practice, an understanding of the principles of health and fitness and how to provide sports massage treatments. The level 3 sports massage therapist will be able to work safely and effectively on dysfunctional tissue in a range of context, to include, pre-event, post event, intra-event and for maintenance purposes.

Course introduction: The VTCT (ITEC) Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention (COVID-19) for Complementary Therapies and Sports Massage is a knowledge-based qualification aimed at complementary and sports massage therapists, who need to understand the COVID-19 infection prevention methods required in the working environment in order to maintain high levels of health and safety in the provision of their services to clients.This qualification is informed by national and international guidelines in relation to COVID-19.Throughout this qualification, learners will develop knowledge on the importance of social responsibility, the causes, transmission and effects of COVID-19, and the methods used to control transmission, such as correct hand hygiene and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). They will also gain an understanding of the safe working practices required in the treatment environment in order to protect themselves and their clients.
